Starting as a Junior Design Assistant in 2005, Andrea Vollmer has since flourished and found her niche in Palmer Todd. A jill of all trades, she does everything from job costing to technical work to design. Andrea relishes in transforming simple sketches and concepts into working shop drawings for our clients, contractors, and cabinet manufacturers. Every now and then, she also displays her skills in drawing tiles. While multifaceted in a plethora of work, Andrea finds the most joy in collaborating on the design process. More specifically, she loves designing closets because it’s an opportunity to organize and make sure everything has a place. Recently, her dream project of designing a two-story closet has come true!

To uncover Andrea’s inspiration, we must go back to her uncle’s drawing board. Growing up, Andrea found herself admiring the housing plans that her uncle worked on. Those housing plans would soon manifest into the remodeling of her parent’s home, where she saw the wonder of design come to life. While intrigued by architecture, her zeal for graphic design quickly followed when she began college. After rearranging her dorm room countless times, Andrea’s sister pointed out her eye for detail and suggested that she look into Interior Design programs. One major change and an hour into her first class later, Andrea was hooked.
